Your Weekly Guide to San Diego Gaslamp Nightclubs

sunday interventionWhether you are a San Diego native or you happen to be visiting the Gaslamp Quarter for a few days, it’s always good to know which nightclubs are open on certain days. Friday’s and Saturday’s are a given, but weekdays are difficult to come by a lively venue with a good crowd.

Hopefully this guide will give you some insight on the hottest nightclubs in SanDiego- all within a few blocks of each other too!

*Please note that clubs nights change often. Make sure you verify the event before attending – adding the nightclubs on social media is always a great way to stay in the weekly mix.

SUNDAY: HARD ROCK

From April through September, Hard Rock Float and Woodstock Terrace transform into a multifaceted daytime playground for adults! Every Sunday, San Diego’s hottest event showcases world-class DJ talent. Named “Party of the Year” at the 2014 Nightclub & Bar Awards, Intervention Sundays are the must-attend event of the summer in the Gaslamp.

MONDAY: FLORENT

Mix it up after dinner with Cocktail Night every Monday at Florent. Get half off all of their craft cocktails all night.

TUESDAY: TIN ROOF

As Tin Roof says, “Tuesdays we Reggae.” Support local music with Reggae on the Roof Tuesday, which starts at 9pm. And as if you need another excuse to go to Tin Roof, they also have Taco Tuesdays – enjoy tacos and Mexican beers starting at 7pm!

WEDNESDAY: SIDE BAR

Celebrate your Hump Day by going to Industry Night at Side Bar. Every week Side Bar hosts a different guest bartender from the Gaslamp for all you hard working party goers out there.

THURSDAY: BASSMNT & FLUXX

Come see some of the best EDM DJs and acts throw down at Bassmnt for their Experience Thursday events. Presented by Five Group and Eventvibe, this event will keep you dancing at this massive underground nightclub featuring three different rooms.

Party at one of the best nightclubs in San Diego on Thursdays. Guest starring some of the biggest names in the business, Fluxx is always a certified good time.

FRIDAY: CLUB CRAWL SAN DIEGO!

    • The Gaslamp Quarter is a part of downtown San Diego where there is lots of bars, pubs and lounges. This is where the nightlife is.
      Back in the old days, the streets were lighted with gas street lamps so this area is called the Gaslamp district in reference to that. There are no more gaslamps but there are street lights shaped like gaslamps.
      Back in the late 1800's, this used to be the "red light district" with brothels and gambling halls etc. They've cleaned up a lot since then. Read more here
